T.C.A. § 30-2-103 requires employers, including county employers, to pay wages of a deceased employee to the surviving spouse at the time of the employee’s death. If there is no surviving spouse, wages must be paid to the surviving children. Funds in excess of $10,000 must be paid to the personal representative, or paid as otherwise ordered by the court.
